 | | | | | | SUMMER FOOD AT LE CAFÉ ANGLAIS | | | | | | It is now officially okay to be seen in London in August. This year nobody, simply nobody, is going to Tuscany. A week in Cornwall or Norfolk, or just possibly Cape Cod, is okay but the truly fashionable are staying in town. London and Le Café Anglais have so much to offer in August. No traffic, a free car park, air conditioned splendour, the most beautiful light infused room, the best menu in town, lunch or dinner at the Cafe is a holiday in its own right. Enjoy our new range of Summer hors d'oeuvres, featuring artichokes with aioli, caponata, chickpea sardines in soar, salt cod brandade and saucisson a l'ail. Should you still pine for the Mediterranean, have a bowl of gazpacho, a plate of jellied chicken with aioli potatoes or a dish of mirabelles and crème Anglaise. With a new set lunch on Sundays - in addition to set lunches and dinners during the week - our aim to offer affordable luxury has never been more true. | | |

 | | | | | | INTRODUCING NICOLAS, OUR NEW GENERAL MANAGER | | | | | | We are delighted to welcome our very own Frenchman, Nicolas Garcia, as our new General Manager at Le Cafe Anglais. Nicolas hails from Seine-et-Marne, to the East of Paris. After studying for a career in engineering at Reims, he found his sights were set less on nuts and bolts and more on the nuts and bolts of the restaurant industry. He worked his way up through the ranks and arrived in England at Le Pont La Tour. After time served at Quaglino's, Guastavino's in New York, Cantina del Ponte, Zinc Bar & Grill, Christopher's and most recently as General Manager at La Petite Maison, he finally arrived here to ensure prompt service in the best French style. He enjoys the challenges of working in a large busy restaurant and managing a tight brigade. Married with one child and with proficiency in the bugle, cavalry trumpet and French horn, Nicolas is a welcome addition to Le Café. | | | | | | | | | |
 | | | | | | | | | | FREE PARKING AT THE MOVIES | | | | Harry Potter has proved what an enticement it is. The offer of free parking has not only proved very popular, it has alerted many of you to the fact that we have a car park right next to the restaurant on the second floor of Whiteley's. Whether you are going to the cinema or not, we are pleased to be able to offer free parking all summer here at Le Cafe Anglais to customers who dine with us. The Whiteley's car park is situated on the roof of Whiteley's and is accessed via Redan Place - at the other end of the building to us - and brings you to outside our door. | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | |
